Tribute to our Real Hero...!!!

Indian Bloggers

I am starting this post with a heavy heart. My eyes are filled with tears. Still, I could not believe in the news which I heard. We lost our pride of the nation. Our hope has gone.

The man with positive energy and thoughts, the man who redefined the meaning for dream, the man known for his simplicity,  man of missile, ever busy man, started to take his rest. APJ Abdul Kalam passed away. He is 11th President of India. He is the icon of youth.

Wings of fire, the book which is very much popular among most of the students. Myself have read this book more than thrice.

Some glimpses from his life:

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is born in october 15,1931 in rameshwaram, India. His father,Jainulabudeen, is a boat owner and his mother Ashiamma, a housewife. He came from a poor background and started working at an early age to supplement his family's income.

He was not an outstanding student while he was in school. But, he is hard working. He was very much interested in maths when he was studying. After graduating in physics, he did aerospace engineering in Madras Institute of Technology. After his completion, in 1960, Kalam joined the Aeronautical Development Establishment of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) as a scientist.

In 1969, Kalam was transferred to ISRO and he was the project director of India's first satellite launch vehicle. First he met a failure. After his hard and focused work, SLV was successfully deployed the Rohini satellite in near-earth orbit in 1980.

He also served as the chief scientific adviser to the PM and secretary of the DRDO from 1992-1999.
He has a strong opinion that young force need to be motivated for the development of the nation.

He became 11th president of India succeeding K.R. Narayanan between 2002 - 2007. He was also mentioned as People's president among all with lot of love in him.

Once during an event, President APJ Abdul Kalam refused to sit on a chair that was designated for him--because the chair was larger in size than the other chairs! This is the prominent story to portray his simplicity though he was a president.

Although everyone compelled him to extend his period as president, he was not interested in it. After 2007, he was serving as a mentor for many colleges and universities like IIM, Anna university.

He enjoyed being with students and delivering speech for them. He is also a veena player and was deeply interested in Carnatic music. He was vegetarian all his life.

Kalam's 79th birthday was recognized as World Student Day by the United Nations. The Government of India has honored him with the Padma Bhushan in 1981 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1990 for his work with ISRO and DRDO and his role as a scientific advisor to the Government. In 1997, Kalam received India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, for his contribution to the scientific research and modernization of defense technology in India.

In one of the speech, he assured that the 4 tools which everyone need to follow for their growth and development.

They are

  • Set up your goals
  • Acquire the knowledge
  • Hard work
  • Perseverance

Yesterday, July 27th 2015, was marked as historic. The great soul left his last breath yesterday that too when he is delivering his valuable speech for IIM students, shillong. He was collapsed when he is giving his speech after which he was taken to the hospital and given treatment. But, unfortunately, everything got failed.

God would have realized that his action needs an halt. The restless man needs some rest. Let him relax. may his soul rest in peace.

We, the youth of India need to work for his dreams. We need to salute for his wishes and make his dream come true. Currently, he is the one in very few patriotic leaders in our nation. His wishes, India 2020, dream need to be come true which makes his soul proud. This will also pay for his hard work and his affection on the nation and us.

We need to Dream High.

No one can replace him.

He is not beautiful. He is not a man born with silver spoon. He is not born in the place of big city. He is not born in the high class society. But, because of his honesty, talent, hard work, patriotism, simplicity and perseverance, he achieved a big position in all the hearts of the young people. Every youth in India is fond of him and respects him.

He is a big role model. He is an inspiration. He is our pride. He is our mentor.

Salute to you sir!!! May your soul rest in peace!!!
