Everyone in the world is fond of food. Some like the food which they are very much used to it. Like my mom and granny. They are so accustomed to the traditional food and are not ready to try out other cuisines. But, I am very opposite to them. There are some persons who always need a difference in what they have. I am the one among them. I wish to try lot and lots of cuisines in my lifetime. Thank god. I am getting chance to explore all kinds of cuisines now a days.
One such cuisines which I love a lot is Italian. Italian cuisine features a diverse range of fresh and colorful foods which are combined in simple ways to preserve the identity of the ingredients. I have tried variety of exotic Italian pastas and pizzas which blown me out of the world.
Here, I got a chance to try out my first Italian cuisine with the help of Del Monte pastas.
Here comes my recipes with step by step process which I followed. This resulted me with an attractive, colorful and tasty dish. Check it out with an hyper.. Hurray..!!!
Chicken Farfalle with Creamy Arrabiata:
Del Monte Farfalle - 3 cups
Del monte Arrabiatta red pasta - 4 - 5 tsp
Chicken - 1 cup
Oregano - 1 tsp
Basil - 1 tsp
Cheese - 3 tsp
Fresh cream - 3 tsp
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Capsicum - 1
Salt - as needed
red pepper powder - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 + 1/2 tsp
Chopped Garlic - 1 tsp
Olive oil - 1 cup
For Garnishing -
Spring onions - 1 cup chopped
Carrot - 1 cup chopped
Take all your ingredients.
Marinate the sliced chicken with freshly ground black pepper powder, garlic paste and salt. Keep it aside.
Take a bowl of water and allow it to boil. Add a tsp of salt, basil and oregano. Tip here is don't add oil to the water as it will make the pasta more sticky.
Add the farfalle in it.
As specified in the package, after 13 - 15 minutes, its done. Tip: We can do it side by side as keeping aside pasta for a long time makes it even more cooked. To prevent it from being over cooked, we can also add cold water to the pasta once its done. Adding ice cold water will prevent it from being over cooked.
By that time, it boils, In another burner, bring a Kadai or karahi on top of the stove. Add a tsp of olive oil. Add in chopped garlic, onion, tomato, capsicum one by one. Instead of sliced tomato, we can also add tomato puree.
Once, its done, add the marinated chicken. Saute it.
Don't overcook chicken so that it can remain crunchy.
Pour the Del monte Arrabiatta red pasta sauce to the mentioned amount in it.
So colourful right.. Hmmm.
Add in cheese, fresh cream, black pepper powder, salt. Saute well till its done.
Then comes the main ingredient - Del Monte farfalle. Add the pasta in the kadai.
Add oregano and basil, Mix and saute it.
Its almost done. Yummy na..
Here it is.. Garnish it well with Mint leaves, carrot and spring onions. We can also add cilantro to make it even more fresh.
