The most awaited day for most of the women and business men has arrived. Yes. Today is Akshaya tritiya, one of the auspicious days of Hindu mythology. But now the meaning of the day has been changed as a key day for promoting and selling the products. Starting from the jewellery shop to grocery super markets, everyone started making use of this day for their own business. Does anyone of us think what the day all about is? What is the meaning of Akshaya tritiya? What is the reason behind it as per our Hindu mythology? What is the importance to celebrate it?

Day 3 - Mysore Trip..

As the time specified by our driver, we got ready and started in our four wheeler. We started our day with chamundeeswari temple in chanmudeeswari hills. This is a shakthi peetam and very powerful kali is residing here. But, the place is as usual behaving as a business place. All were giving importance to only power money. From Iyer and persons with small store were keen with a paper of money. Everywhere people are same.

Trip to Coorg - Day 2

Our next day that is second day trip started. We vacated the cottage from coorg and started with our car. The place is mandalpatti where we are yet to travel. We never heard of the place before. So, we were not that much excited. We started with a mindset of seeing another place in our itenary. After having our breakfast, we started from our vehicle. Driver stopped the car near the place where we turned for Abbey falls. He said, mandalpatti needs to be reached by jeep as the road is not so proper there. Hence, we got down from car, got a jeep and made our self comfortable. My son was excited as this was the first time he is getting into a jeep.

An Awesome trip to Coorg

Let us take some time to relax. I thought of sharing my experience we had in coorg which we went some 5 months ago. Back to November 2014.

I and my son were eagerly waiting for the return of my husband. He went to his site for 2 months and is about to be back on 1^st of November.  Bored of routine life, we were waiting for a mind-breaking tour for our relaxation and enjoyment. Usually we will plan for the tour before and would be waiting for it. This time, we are sure we are going for tour. But, we were not sure about the place. I suggested coorg and my husband choice is for Ooty. In winter, I am not ready to take my little kid as he might be a victim to fever and cold. So, we concluded our journey to the awesome place, Coorg and Mysore.

Today is world health day. Most of us know what are the healthy facts and practices. But are we following all in our day to day life.

As we are in a hurry all days, we will be skipping up our breakfasts though we know it’s not advisable. We are not drinking water properly at regular intervals. Some practise which we follow will be like a myth. For example, from my child hood, I have been taught to have a fruit after a meal we have. But, this is a bad practise which I got to know recently. As fruits digestion is simpler and quicker than the meal, if we are taking heavy digestive item along with simpler digestive one, our digestion system crashes. Like this, we have so many. Due to the media exposure and many good magazines, we are hearing interesting news and facts over our healthy practise.

Is speaking in Mother tongue a shame?

I have always wondered how sweet our mother tongue is. At all times, I enjoy speaking in mine’s where I can express my feelings very clearly and lively. Mother tongue varies from person to person. But, each and everyone’s are precious for them as everyone’s mother. Expressing our thoughts, sharing our ideas, conveying our views can be done with easiness than in any other language.

Nelson Mandela said, “If you talk to someone in a language which he or she understands, it goes to his or her head. If you talk to somebody in his or her language, it goes to their heart” Our mother tongue is close to our heart. Our mother is special for us though there are many mothers around; our language is special for us though we have many languages to speak.

I myself think I am going deep into socio problems. But, the acts which is happening around us making myself think about it. Our customs whatever we followed before suits these days life style. A drastic change will never happen. But still, some slow change makes big effect in our society.

Are we in a modern era?

This question has been arising for me for a long time. One side with the use of modern technologies, another side still our old customs without knowing for what it has been created. This question is endless. Though in all the sectors, we could find a good contribution of women, still this question has no answer. I am taking this question again expecting for either an answer or for a change.
